All 17 Harlan Coben Shows, Ranked
We all love a good mystery thriller. It’s our chance to escape into a crime-filled world, playing a detective as we attempt to solve the mystery. If there is one mystery writer in the modern era who has delivered a world of excellent content, look no further than Harlan Coben. The brilliant mind behind some of your streamers’ highest-charting hits, the American author is, to say the least, prolific.
Having written dozens of novels that bring twists and turns around every corner, many of the titles have been adapted for serialized purposes. Though they may not all be extraordinary, they’ve certainly become a guilty-pleasure genre within thrillers. Adapted in many countries in a variety of languages, one thing they all have in common is the ability to keep you intrigued from start to finish. We’re going to celebrate his televised bibliography as we determine the best series in the greater Harlan Coben Cinematic Universe.

‘Caught’ (2025)
Coben might be American, and his work tends to be transported to the UK, but that doesn’t mean all of his work has to follow the same formula. In 2025, Caught became the first Latin American adaptation of a Coben piece. Set in Bariloche, Argentina, Caught follows investigative journalist Ema Garay (Soledad Villamil), who has built a successful career by catching criminals who have eluded justice. But her latest story hits closer to home. Working alongside social worker Leo Mercer (Alberto Ammann), Ema gets a tip into the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl that makes Leo the primary suspect. With the entire justice system gunning for him, Ema might be the only person who believes his innocence. But as she pursues the truth, she unravels a web of interconnected mysteries that puts her life in direct danger.
Regardless of language, Caught is typical Coben. There are elements that make it a strong series, but what Caught lacks is an immediate, original, and engaging hook. With a pretty murky first episode, Caught drudges along as twists and turns tend to pop out from nowhere simply for the sake of it. Coben’s stories are almost all fragmented, eventually uniting down the line, but Caught seemed to suffer more than normal. What shines through is that, no matter the language or location, you can sense Coben’s unique voice.

‘Gone for Good’ (2021)
Based on one of Coben’s earliest works, the French-language series has all the markings of a classic Coben thriller. Gone for Good follows Guillaume Lucchesi (Finnegan Oldfield), who spends his summers at his family estate on the French Riviera. During his trip in 2010, he witnessed the murder of his girlfriend and his older brother. Ten years later, on the eve of his mother’s funeral, Guillaume proposes to his new girlfriend, Judith (Nailia Harzoune), who suddenly disappears the next day. The past and present collide as Guillaume is thrust into a brand-new mystery to discover the truth about Judith and where she may have gone.
The five-part series has an engaging and riveting hook that immediately moves into a swiftly paced drama. Moving the location to France was a seamless transition. Gone For Good does a lot of time-hopping, which is good for developing a tense story that sets up a stronger overall narrative, but it just needs a bit more nuance and purpose. It’s not necessarily confusing, but it stalls the action at times. If you’re eager to watch every Coben series, regardless of language, Gone for Good is a decent time; otherwise, you can probably skip.
15
‘Just One Look’ (2025)
Like many of Coben’s mysteries, it’s the darkest secrets of ours that tend to become the most destructive. Set in Warsaw, Poland, Just One Look follows Greta (Maria Dębska) as her life is upended when a disturbing photo mysteriously surfaces, connecting to the disappearance of her husband, Jacek (Cezary Lukaszewicz). As she digs into what happened, Greta confronts buried truths, past traumas, and her own hazy memory to save her husband. But that might mean discovering a marriage that was not what she thought.
Thanks to its worldwide Netflix release, Just One Look charted quite quickly, as Coben series tend to do. But if you had Coben fatigue at the rate that his series have been churned out, you might have passed this one up. The adaptation of the 2004 novel is led by Dębska, who delivers a solid performance. With an American writing perspective told in a Polish setting, Just One Look works, but it lacks a bit of the universality that other Coben shows contain.
14
‘The Five’ (2016)
One of Coben’s first series to be created for the screen and not a direct adaptation, The Five is a thriller that takes audiences from the past to the present. Childhood friends Mark Wells (Tom Cullen), Danny Kenwood (O. T. Fagbenle), Slade (Lee Ingleby), and Pru Carew (Sarah Solemani) are reunited when DNA evidence left at the murder scene of Annie Green is revealed to be that of Mark’s younger brother, Jesse (Alfie and Harry Bloor), who disappeared 20 years prior, believed to be killed by serial killer Jakob Marosi (Rade Serbedzija). Through an intricate web of trials and tribulations, the four childhood friends search in hopes of finding Jesse alive.
A true, “I know what you did 20 years ago” story, The Five is Coben at his earliest. And for that, The Five drops a few spots down. Though it has strong acting and solid storytelling, The Five lacks the bells and whistles that later entries tend to have. Despite some clunky dialogue and hokey moments, however, The Five is a steadfast mystery. Should you go back in time and watch all of these shows in release date order, The Five will leave you slightly satisfied and eager to reach the Netflix era as soon as possible. The Five is story first, emotions second.
13
‘Hold Tight’ (2022)
For the most part, Coben’s stories are contained in their own universe, but two pieces share the same world and timeline: Hold Tight and The Woods. In the unofficial sequel to The Woods, Pawel Kopiński (Grzegorz Damięcki) and his now-wife, Laura (Agnieszka Grochowska), find themselves connected to the primary story through Pawel’s daughter, Kaja (Agata Labno). Her boyfriend, Adam Barczyk (Krzysztof Oleksyn), suddenly goes missing after their friend Igor dies. The race is on to find Adam, and his mother, Anna (Magdalena Boczarska), will go to great lengths to do so.
With action, suspense, and a killer plot, Hold Tight is a decent non-English language adaptation, but, dare I say, on the verge of being too stale and predictable. With some major changes from page to screen, including gender and age, Hold Tight lives on its own. There are some strong story elements, but the series meanders a bit too much. It’s not as engaging as some of the other entries, especially the one it’s connected to.
12
‘Harlan Coben’s Shelter’ (2023)
Created for Prime Video, Shelter was inspired by Coben’s 2011 young adult novel. Shelter follows Mickey Bolitar (Jaden Michael) as he starts a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey, following the death of his father. While there, he becomes entangled in the mysterious disappearance of Ashley Kent (Samantha Bugliaro), a student at his school, which leads him to discover a dark underworld in the quiet suburban community. An absorbing thriller, the intensity helps the series thrive as the fast-paced mystery keeps you glued to your screens.
The key difference between Shelter and nearly every other Coben entry on this list is that Shelter is young adult-focused, not just in the audience but in the central character. The mystery unfolds through the eyes of protagonists much younger than Coben’s other main characters, making Shelter a bit of an enigma. The strength of Shelter lies in the chemistry and dynamics, especially between Michael as Mickey, Abby Corrigan as Emma, and Adrian Greesmith as Spoon. Plus, appearances from Constance Zimmer, Tovah Feldshuh, and Missi Pyle make it a worthy watch. Intended to be a multi-season run, Shelter was unfortunately canceled after a single season.
11
‘Lazarus’ (2025)
One of the most promising concepts in the Coben collection was 2025’s Lazarus. The horror-thriller follows psychiatrist Joel Lazarus (Sam Claflin), who returns home to his family’s house following the apparent suicide of his estranged father, Jonathan (Bill Nighy). Haunted by the unsolved murder of his sister 25 years earlier, Joel goes down a rabbit hole, convinced his father wouldn’t have taken his own life, only to be followed by unsettling phenomena and disturbing visions. A visually stunning and artfully crafted mystery, Lazarus had all the makings of a masterpiece but fell into some convoluted directorial execution.
Don’t get it twisted, Lazarus is a fun watch. Watching the typically grounded Claflin descend into madness was an extraordinary experience. The issue with Lazarus was its storytelling. With distinct timelines jumping in and out, maintaining order and comprehension was not its strongest suit. And when you’re dealing with a pair of “Dr. Lazurus,” you have to pay keen attention to whether the father or son is being referenced. Diving into the world of supernatural horror was a logical next step for Coben. Lazarus still has a labyrinth of mysteries to explore, but the mood does not make up for the preposterous plot.
10
‘The Woods’ (2020)
Time for a foreign language triumph in the Harlan Coben Cinematic Universe! In the Polish thriller The Woods, the story is divided into two time periods. In August 1994, at a summer camp in the woods, Pawel Kopiński (Hubert Milkowski) chaperons his younger sister’s camper, Kamila (Martyna Byczkowska). In September 2019, Pawel (now played by Grzegorz Damięcki), a Warsaw prosecutor and recently widowed single father, reconnects with his camp sweetheart, Laura (Agnieszka Grochowska). After a body is discovered surrounded by newspaper clippings about Pawel, he’s called in to identify the deceased. It’s only then that we learn that at that fateful summer camp, two people were murdered and two went missing, including his sister. Pawel investigates the case and digs deeper to learn that his sister may still be out there. A swiftly moving series with red herrings galore, The Woods helped kick off the Netflix domination of Coben mystery thrillers.
The biggest downfall of the series is the way the exposition is layered, as it’s not as natural as one might like. Once you get past that and dive into the mystery in the present, The Woods is a satisfying story. The Woods is an example of where characters triumph over tropes, though the classic Coben staples are alive and well. The transition from New Jersey to Poland was seamless, though selfishly, an American edition of The Woods would be a thrilling watch. Critically approved but audience thrashed, The Woods suffers from the language barrier when it should be on a must-watch list.
9
‘No Second Chance’ (2015)
How far will you go to save your own child? Just ask Dr. Alice Lambert (Alexandra Lamy). In this shocking miniseries, Alice goes to fix a bottle for her daughter when two gunshots ring out, and everything goes black. A week later, Alice emerges from a coma, and a nightmare reality awaits as her husband has been murdered, and her baby is missing. Suspected by the police and hunted by ruthless hitmen, Alice refuses to give up, turning to Richard (Pascal Elbe), her first love and a former criminal investigator. No Second Chance was a twisted tale that kicked off the Coben obsession around the world.
Based on his bestselling novel, No Second Chance became an instant hit in France. A harrowing story of corruption, social inequality, and the resilience of true love, the series makes a smart and bold choice of swapping genders, turning the protagonist into a woman. Lambert’s hunt for her daughter is the key cog in the story, and it’s truly her journey that draws you in. While many Coben thrillers seem to have the same law enforcement character archetypes, No Second Chance has a standout in Hippolyte Girardot as grouchy detective Cyril Tessier.
8
‘Stay Close’ (2021)
A true Coben classic is 2021’s Stay Close. The eight-part series finds three seemingly random individuals whose lives become intertwined by an unsolved case. Photographer Ray Levine (Richard Armitage) inadvertently captured an image of a shadowy figure running in the woods. Then there is Megan Pierce (Cush Jumbo), a mother of three, who is about to be wed to her fiancé, Dave Shaw (Daniel Francis). Meanwhile, Michael Broome (James Nesbitt), a detective investigating the disappearance of a young man, Carlton Flynn, discovers the disappearance happened exactly 17 years after another missing persons case of his that went unsolved. So, how are these three strangers connected to Carlton’s missing-person case? In typical Coben fashion, the puzzle is completed at the end.
From psychopathic musical-theater-loving assassins, Barbie and Ken (Poppy Gilbert and Hyoie O’Grady), to bumbling detectives Broome and Cartwright (Jo Joyner), Stay Close is an outright thrill ride — and one that doesn’t spare much for the imagination if you’re on the queasy side. Stay Close layers in just enough camp to make it enjoyable and not too weighty. Plus, the addition of Eddie Izzard in the ensemble helps boost it to the next level. Jumbo is a satisfactory lead, but it’s Armitage and Nesbitt, true staples of Coben’s, who manage to tackle the material best.

Sydney Sweeney’s Next Role Puts A Spin On Horror Classic
Sydney Sweeney is preparing to place one of classic literature’s overlooked women at the center of a seductive supernatural mystery.
The “Euphoria” actress is attached to star in “Hollow,” a feminist reimagining of Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Rather than once again following Ichabod Crane’s encounter with the Headless Horseman, the adaptation will unfold from Katrina Van Tassel’s perspective, transforming her from a romantic prize into the driving force of the story.
The project will also introduce psychological suspense and erotic-thriller elements, placing Sweeney’s character inside a dangerous supernatural love triangle.

According to Deadline, “Hollow” is based on filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer’s forthcoming debut novel. Beer is set to write, direct, and produce the screen adaptation of her own book, while Sweeney will reportedly produce in addition to starring as Katrina. The film is described as blending “gothic atmosphere, psychological intrigue and erotic thriller elements” in a high-concept reinvention of Irving’s 1820 short story.
In the original tale, Katrina is the wealthy daughter of Baltus Van Tassel and the object of affection for both the schoolmaster, Ichabod Crane, and his rival, Brom Bones. She possesses considerable influence over the men around her but is largely treated as the prize in their escalating competition.
“Hollow” will instead make Katrina the central figure in the mystery, giving her a perspective and narrative agency missing from many earlier adaptations.
‘Hollow’ Introduces A Supernatural Love Triangle

While specific plot details remain limited, Katrina will reportedly find herself caught in a seductive and dangerous supernatural love triangle. That premise suggests “Hollow” will significantly expand the romantic rivalry found in Irving’s original story, potentially giving its supernatural elements a more direct connection to Katrina. However, the identities of the other figures in the love triangle have not been announced. No additional cast members or release date have been confirmed.
The project also offers Sydney Sweeney another opportunity to combine sexuality with psychological tension, a space she previously explored in “The Voyeurs,” “Euphoria,” and “The Housemaid.”
Sydney Sweeney Continues Her Erotic-Thriller Streak

Sweeney starred in Amazon Prime Video’s “The Voyeurs” as Pippa, a woman whose fascination with the couple living across from her develops into a dangerous obsession. She later found major box-office success with “The Housemaid,” the psychological thriller based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel.
The film’s performance quickly led Lionsgate to approve a sequel, “The Housemaid’s Secret,” which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in December 2027. Sydney Sweeney will reprise her role as Millie and return as an executive producer. Michele Morrone is also expected back, while Kirsten Dunst has joined the sequel’s cast.
Although “Hollow” has been described as an erotic thriller, it will add gothic horror and supernatural intrigue to the genre territory Sweeney has already explored.
The Film Reimagines A Familiar Horror Story

“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” has inspired numerous film and television adaptations, but most have centered on Ichabod Crane and the mystery of the Headless Horseman.
One of the best-known versions is Tim Burton’s 1999 film “Sleepy Hollow,” starring Johnny Depp as Ichabod and Christina Ricci as Katrina. That adaptation significantly expanded Katrina’s role but still positioned Depp’s character at the center of the investigation.
Fox later aired a contemporary “Sleepy Hollow” television series starring Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie. The show ran for four seasons between 2013 and 2017 and transformed the original legend into an expansive supernatural drama.
By telling the story through Katrina’s eyes, “Hollow” will attempt to distinguish itself from earlier adaptations while reconsidering a character traditionally defined by the men who pursue her.
Sydney Sweeney Has Several Major Projects Ahead

“Hollow” joins an increasingly varied lineup of upcoming projects for Sweeney. The actress is currently starring alongside Noah Centineo in Netflix’s live-action “Gundam” adaptation. Production began in Australia in April, with the film following rival mech pilots fighting on opposing sides of a war between Earth and its former space colonies.
Outside of acting, Sydney Sweeney recently expanded into fashion with the launch of her lingerie brand, Syrn. The actress modeled pieces from the company’s new Small Town Girl collection in a campaign released this week.

Inside Cynthia Jade’s Colorado Mansion DIY Renovation
Cynthia Jade is proving she’s not afraid to get down and dirty in her latest hobby, which has overtaken her social media feed.
Fans may remember that back in 2025, the content creator revealed she was renovating her 7,000-square-foot Colorado home, including building a custom soundproof studio to keep her work separate from the rest of the house.
Months later, Cynthia is still embracing home improvement projects. From repainting the house and planting hundreds of flowers to learning how to use power tools, she’s been giving followers a behind-the-scenes look at what has become an unexpected new hobby.
According to Cynthia, renovating the property has become an unexpected hobby.
“We are currently painting our entire house and I recently planted over 20 roses! And over 100 other plants!” she shared.
As for her growing collection of tools, she already has a favorite.
“My favorite tool is a brad nailer because it’s the least scary tool out of all the ones I’ve used!”
Her latest social media posts show she’s been gradually becoming more comfortable tackling projects herself, even if a few of them still make her nervous.
Her Dad’s Joke Leaves Her Cringing
One recent video featured Cynthia asking her dad for help as she worked on patching holes throughout the family’s Colorado home.
“Dad, Dad, Dad, I need your help to fill all the holes, please,” she said.
Her father pointed her toward the filler before joking, “You know what? I have my own holes to fill somewhere else.”
The comment immediately made Cynthia recoil.
“Eeeeewwwwww!” she replied, laughing at the unexpected joke.
After the lighthearted exchange, Cynthia reminded viewers that the task was no small undertaking.
“I am actually filling all these holes on a house that’s like 7,000 square feet,” she explained, highlighting the scale of the renovation project.
She captioned the clip, “I’m traumatized,” poking fun at her dad’s cheeky sense of humor and the massive DIY job she had taken on.
While Cynthia has embraced home improvement, some tools still leave her feeling anxious.
In another video, she attempted to cut a piece of wood using a power saw, carefully talking herself through every step.
“I’m gonna be sick. I’m gonna be sick. I’m so nervous. Terrified of that,” she admitted before successfully making the cut.
Once the job was finished, she celebrated with her trademark humor.
“Okay, well, this is my stick… Yeah, I’m practically a carpenter now,” she joked.
She has also shared clips of herself trimming tree branches with a chainsaw, operating a skid steer around the property, and taking on other outdoor maintenance projects, giving followers a glimpse of just how much work goes into maintaining the sprawling Colorado estate.
Fans Are Seeing A Different Side Of Cynthia Jade
While Cynthia is best known for glamorous photo shoots and modeling content, her recent posts have showcased a much different side of her personality.
Whether she’s planting more than 20 roses and over 100 additional plants, patching walls, repainting the house, or learning how to use power tools, Cynthia has been documenting both the successes and the learning curves.
The projects mark the latest chapter in her ongoing Colorado home renovation, which first made headlines in late 2025 when she shared plans for a custom-built soundproof studio. Now, followers are seeing that the renovations extend far beyond a single room, as Cynthia continues transforming the property one DIY project at a time.

At the time, Jones and Williams reportedly shared a baby and a toddler who were allegedly inside the apartment during the shooting. Jones also had three children of his own, while Williams reportedly had three children of her own. Williams previously filed a temporary protective order against Jones. However, on the afternoon of July 19, 2022, Jones allegedly violated the order and went to Williams’ apartment after one of her young sons went with him to the grocery store. Once Jones arrived, he and Williams began arguing in her bedroom, and prosecutors said he accused her of cheating.

Kyle Busch’s Son Brexton Wins 1st Race Since Dad’s Death
Samantha Busch is celebrating her son Brexton winning his first race since his famous father, legendary NASCAR racer Kyle Busch, unexpectedly died at age 41.
“This is his first win since Kyle’s passing. There was a lot of emotions to say the very least,” Samantha, 40, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, July 18, over a photo of her son standing atop a car after winning his race in the restricted micro sprint class event at Oklahoma’s Port City Raceway dirt track on Friday, July 17.
“Beyond proud of him not just for winning but all that he’s navigating at a young age, beyond shattered Kyle isn’t here to be a part of this, beyond grateful for all the support and amazing people we have around us,” she continued.
Kyle died on May 21 after he was found unresponsive in a racing simulator in North Carolina and transported to a local hospital. In addition to Samantha and Brexton, he is survived by his 4-year-old daughter, Lennix.
NASCAR announced Busch’s death hours after his family revealed he would be unable to compete in the upcoming Coca-Cola 600 after being hospitalized with “a severe illness.” The racer’s death certificate later confirmed that the racer died of pneumonia that progressed “into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications.”

“As a family, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you,” Samantha wrote via Instagram on June 5, breaking her silence after her husband’s death. “The prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and countless acts of kindness have carried us through the most heartbreaking days of our lives. While our hearts are absolutely shattered, we have felt God’s presence and arms wrapped tightly around us through each and every one of you.”
On Saturday, Samantha broke down her son’s day of racing while thanking those who have helped guide him in the wake of his father’s death.
“6 to 1 in outlaw heat driving Dad’s car,” she wrote over a video of her son competing in the micro sprint class event.
“Grateful for all the drivers who have coached, encouraged and supported Brexton thru all this,” she wrote in another upload, tagging a video of sprint driver Frank Flud coaching Brexton between races.
“In restricted Brexton started p14, huge wreck lap one started in back p12,” she added over another video of the race. “Made his way thru the field. And he ended up with the WIN!!!!”
Samantha concluded her social media upload by sharing a black-and-white video of her son celebrating his win by waving the checkered flag while standing atop his race car.

Andy Cohen Hard Launches Relationship After ‘Date Night’
Andy Cohen is in his lover boy era!
The television personality gladly shared his latest relationship with the world, to the delight of thousands of his fans, just a few weeks after he confirmed there was a man in his life on his SiriusXM show.
Andy Cohen has had a few high-profile romances in the past, including one with radio co-host John Hill in the early 2000s and another with epidemiologist Clifton Dassuncao from 2013 to 2018.

The media personality shared a picture of himself and his new boyfriend, Kevin Sobieski, on Instagram, making them social media official. The couple, dressed in semi-casual outfits, looked every inch excited to make their big debut, as Cohen revealed in the caption that they stepped out for date night.
Cohen opted for a blue-and-cream striped sweatshirt paired with white linen pants, posing as a love-struck Sobieski who appeared dapper in a sky-blue checkered shirt and navy pants, paired with a brown belt. Cohen’s gray hair was the right accessory to bring his look together alongside his pearly whites.
The TV personality’s friends and loved ones took to his comment section to express their excitement at the couple being together. Brittany Cartwright, first in line from the reality TV universe, declared: “Dayte Noiggghy,” as “Real Housewives of Dubai” star Taleen Marie admitted that it made her heart happy to see the duo together.
Angela Oakley from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” found their combination very lit with all the fire emoji, as “Real Housewives of New York” star Erin Dana Lichy stormed the comments with lots of heart eyes emoji.
Cohen spilled some well-kept secrets about his romance, stating that he met Sobieski at a July 4th party in 2025. The Blast shared that the TV host made this confession in early June 2026, noting that their meeting was fated because he nearly missed attending that gay party in the Hamptons.
Luckily for him, stepping out was worth it as he caught a glimpse of Sobieski from across the room, and things may have picked up from there, because 11 months later, Cohen is happier than ever with him.
From the first night they laid eyes on each other, Cohen said that they could not stop talking, and he found himself putting his number in Sobieski’s phone more than once. Over the months, Sobieski has proven himself to the TV personality as a kind, strong, and smart man, according to his revelation on “Radio Andy.”
Andy Cohen’s New Beau Has Undergone The Family Introduction Ritual

Before the Bravo personality made his Instagram hard launch with his boyfriend, he had fulfilled a much more significant aspect of dating: bringing his partner closer to his loved ones.
Cohen confirmed that his partner had met his two kids and developed an enviable bond with them. However, the introduction did not happen spontaneously; it was a slow, deliberate, and methodical process.
Cohen has no regrets about his choices, and one year later, he is beyond happy to have found Sobieski, almost to the point of denial. He continued that it took him a while to confirm the relationship because he wanted to take it all in, smart and slowly, before breaking his silence.
The Bravo star’s story about his lover was music to the ears of his admirers who have followed his career and life for years.
Cohen Previously Discussed How Fatherhood Changed His Love Life

Cohen got candid about the realities of dating and raising his two kids without exposing them to the unpredictability of relationships. As stated by Bravo, in a conversation with Hoda Kotb, Cohen admitted that his dating life took a back seat since becoming a dad, and he had to switch up his dating strategy to make room for love.
Cohen swears by sliding into people’s DMs and religiously signing up on every dating app available. However, it comes with the cons of people constantly mistaking his real account for an impersonator.
As a single father, Cohen stated that he is able to distinguish between mere physical attraction and those whom he thinks he could build a relationship with, adding that it would be great if one person fits both. Looking back on his romantic history, Cohen admitted he was almost embarrassed to reveal that his longest relationship lasted only three years.
Despite spending most of his adult life single, he said he has never viewed it as a negative because he’s genuinely happy with the life he’s built. Above all, he credited becoming a father later in life with giving him a sense of purpose, describing his children as the greatest blessing and saying having a family has transformed his life for the better.
Inside Andy Cohen’s Dating History

Sobieski became a huge part of Cohen’s life last year, but before then, he had dated Dassuncao, after meeting him with Anderson Cooper on the opening night of his tour with Cooper.
US Magazine noted that his dog, Wacha, even gave a nod of approval to the relationship alongside Cooper, who instantly loved the idea of the both of them together. In Cohen’s words: “I remember saying to Anderson, like 10 months ago, that Wacha really likes this guy and Anderson said, ‘Dogs always know. You have to listen to your dog.”
The television star and Hill, a producer on “Radio Andy,” were together from 2003 to 2005 and maintained a close friendship after the split. Hill and Cohen both blamed their breakup on time and being at different points in their lives.
Hill gushed about their bond and friendship, but admitted that they had to go their separate ways because the spark between them was fading as romantic partners.

Let’s celebrate Prime Video’s smattering of series that have kept us binging.
12
‘The Gray House’
We have an adoration for historical dramas. It’s exciting to watch a period story with its sprawling set pieces and elaborate costumes. But just because it may look incredible, and even feature a top-tier production team and cast, doesn’t mean it’s going to be extraordinary. Sadly, such was the case for The Gray House. Executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, the historical drama centers on the lives of four Southern women who used the expectations of their era as cover for espionage. Together, these women — Elizabeth Van Lew (Mary-Louise Parker), Eliza Van Lew (Daisy Head), Mary Jane Richards (Amethyst Davis), and Clara Parish (Hannah James) — transform their Underground Railroad operation into an effective intelligence network that gathers secrets, moves messages, and alters the course of the war in favor of the North. An important retelling of forgotten heroes, The Grey House’s eight episodes are a bit too bloated and melodramatic to pack the historic punch it intended.
The real-life spy ring in Richmond serves as a brilliant premise to build on, but the writers cram far too many minor characters and subplots into the series, which detracts from the main focus. Even with eight episodes, some over an hour each, the pacing is heavily padded, causing significant pacing woes. There are a few solid performances, including Paul Anderson as Stokely Reeves, Rob Morrow as Judah Benjamin, and Head as Elizabeth Van Lew. While Parker is convincing as Eliza Van Lew, it’s not nearly the caliber you may be used to from her previous body of work. With so many historical liberties taken to fill space, The Grey House may have been better suited for an epic film rather than a lost-in-the-shuffle series.
11
‘Kevin’
With a brilliant voice cast and a beloved creator, Kevin should have been better than it was. Unfortunately, Kevin, created by Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert, was an unfortunate misfire. The adult animated comedy follows Kevin, a neurotic, lifelong housecat who opts to leave his human owners following their divorce, taking up residence at an animal rescue in Astoria, Queens, with a chaotic gang of misfit pets. Inspired by a real-life breakup, it blends raunchy humor with sincere themes about finding your place in the world without traditional “owners.” Kevin is a gleeful comedy that fulfills the void where you may be lacking animated talking animals, but if you need a purpose for comedy that is crass, you’ll find Kevin unpleasant.
Where Kevin thrives is the exceptional cast of stars who signed on. In addition to Plaza, the ensemble features Jason Schwartzman, Amy Sedaris, John Waters, and Whoopi Goldberg. But even the famous voices weren’t enough. The surreal humor and chaotic energy are not shocking to come from Plaza’s brain, but the writing relied too heavily on gross-out gags rather than on the emotional narrative inherent to the story. Vulgarity is at the center of the script. Rather than find a true identity, it fell into the trap of trying to be the next BoJack Horseman. Sadly, the show’s devoted fans won’t get more time with Kevin and friends, as the series has been canceled.

‘Elle’
We love origin stories now more than ever. It’s often a surefire success because it builds on a popular IP, adding depth to an established world. But not every character easily translates to an origin tale. Unfortunately for Elle, it tried too hard to be part of the Legally Blonde universe and still seemed to be only using the character’s popularity as it forged its own identity. Retconning the character in a soulless tale, Elle takes viewers back to 1995 as the teenage years of Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree), from first loves to unexpected friendships, are explored. Originally living a luxurious, privileged life in Bel-Air, California, Elle’s world is upended when a family financial scandal forces them to relocate to moody, rain-soaked Seattle. Elle explores how her pretty-in-pink aura and perky demeanor clash with the grunge-heavy, cynical high school environment of her new city.
Of course, the draw is the connection to the original film. The eight-episode series is meant to operate as an origin story, showing the formative experiences that eventually molded Elle Woods into the confident and iconic character Reese Witherspoon made famous. Minetree shines as Elle, effortlessly capturing her essence, but the film establishes Elle as a ditz from the start. Elle shows her growth at 16. So what happened in between? Do we blame the sorority for dumbing her back down? Unfortunately, the story is droll. The nostalgia is full-blown, as are the teenage tropes, the latter of which is meant to capture the film’s camp. It falls flat. And yet, when the series falls into the dramatics, it becomes the antithesis of the mission. Legally Blonde is meant to be peppy and light. Elle certainly could have had a rough life that informed her future, but that’s not why we tuned in to it. Perhaps a movie musical of the Broadway show is what we should have thrived for instead.

‘Scarpetta’
It was inevitable that the iconic character from Patricia Cornwell‘s novels would be adapted. No one anticipated it would take as long as it did. Nevertheless, Dr. Kay Scarpetta had her moment in the spotlight in the all-star stuffed Scarpetta. The psychological thriller follows Dr. Kay Scarpetta (Nicole Kidman), a brilliant forensic pathologist. Journeying across two timelines — her present-day return to her hometown as a chief medical examiner dealing with a grisly serial murder and her early career in the late 1990s — Scarpetta does it all. She uses modern forensics to unmask a killer, but she must also contend with the heavy personal toll of her career and a haunting case from 28 years prior that could be her undoing. Adapting Cornwell’s best-selling series, Scarpetta blends intense family dynamics and speculative sci-fi elements into a soap opera-like dramatic thriller that was nothing short of polarizing.
The long wait for a Kay Scarpetta story had all the right elements attached, but it was vastly overshadowed by its big cast. And not just by name. Scarpetta doesn’t use flashbacks as a device; it’s a story in its own right. Therefore, in the span of eight episodes, two versions of each character must find the time to grow and evolve, with the past informing the present. Meant to be a multi-season series, there’s a lot left out for later. And it shows. Scarpetta compiled some great names — Kidman, Bobby Cannavale, Jamie Lee Curtis, Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose, Hunter Parrish, Rosy McEwan, Jacob Lumet Cannavale — who stretched their characters to their limits. Save for the father-son duo playing both iterations of Pete Marino, it felt as if it were two Scarpetta shows in one. And sadly, Curtis’ irritating and loud take on Dorothy Scarpetta may be proof that she can’t do it all. If you were seeking a traditional murder mystery, Scarpetta is anything but. It’s an absolutely gripping, addictive, and entertaining watch, but it could have been executed better.

’56 Days’
Prime Video made 2026 the year of love, especially romances based on novels. But before we get to the romantic comedy and drama, we take a journey to the thrilling in 56 Days. Based on Catherine Ryan Howard‘s 2022 novel of the same name, 56 Days follows Ciara Wise (Dove Cameron) and Oliver Kennedy (Avan Jogia), a couple who quickly fall in love after a chance encounter. Alternating between two timelines, the primary story chronicles the intense trajectory of their romance in the past, and 56 days later, when detectives Lee Reardon (Karla Souza) and Karl Connolly (Dorian Crossmond Missick) investigate a brutally murdered corpse found in their apartment. Through a non-linear narrative, viewers are kept on their toes, guessing who the body is, who the culprit is, and why a turbulent history and dark, shared secrets come to light.
A slick, sexy, evocative thriller, 56 Days is a quick, bingeable erotic thriller. Rich in world- and character-building, the mystery grows darker as each clue is discovered. Filled with red herrings and diversions, 56 Days reminds us that trust is not a given but can certainly be earned. And toxic red flags? Everyone’s got them when they’re driven by motive. Cameron and Jogia do a sensational job building their characters with just enough intrigue that you’re willing to allow them to go to the depths that they do. 56 Days weaves in a subplot for the detectives that, unfortunately, didn’t get enough time to ruminate. 56 Days is a soapy melodrama that eases its way into a juicy thriller where you may need to forgive the conclusion for how it’s executed.

‘It’s Not Like That’
Originally airing on Wonder Project before its official Prime Video debut, Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson’s drama It’s Not Like That follows a recently widowed pastor, Malcolm (Scott Foley), and a newly divorced mother, Lori (Erinn Hayes), as they navigate single parenthood. Set in Atlanta, the families used to do everything together. Now, Malcolm and Lori lean on one another as they navigate growing romantic feelings, often deflecting questions from others with the phrase, “It’s not like that.” In eight episodes, It’s Not Like That balanced their relationship while showcasing how their teenage children are trying to cope with divorce and the loss of a mother.
It’s Not Like That is a soft, family-oriented drama that depicts multigenerational family dynamics well. Rather than being overtly frothy in terms of romance, the series tackles grief, teen angst, and modern relationships through a thoughtful, faith-friendly lens without feeling too preachy. Though it does lean in that direction on occasion, so it’s not a series for everyone. Foley and Hayes are the heart and soul of the series. It’s Not Like That is reminiscent of classic nighttime network soaps. Sadly, It’s Not Like That is not a show you should get attached to, as it has already been quietly canceled after one season.

‘Steal’
Perhaps the most stressful crime thriller of 2026 is none other than Steal. Created by Sotiris Nikias, the British series follows an ordinary London office worker named Zara Dunne (Sophie Turner) whose routine workday at a pension fund is shattered when violent thieves storm in, forcing her and her best friend Luke Selborn (Archie Madekwe) to help execute a massive $4 billion heist. The fallout spirals into a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game. As Zara tries to survive and clear her name, a conflicted detective, DCI Rhys Covaci (Jacob Fortune-Lloyd), races against time to determine exactly who is behind the theft of citizens’ retirement funds. An unrelenting adrenaline rush where anything is possible, Steal proves that six episodes is the absolute perfect length for a single narrative crime drama.
Steal is a magnetic thriller that invites an addictive single-watch binge. Within the first video, you’re absolutely hooked thanks to the cinema-quality heist. It’s expertly executed, bringing a slick, taut, and tense scene to life. It’s masterfully acted and edited. From there, the aftermath is filled with exposition, conspiracies, and an ending that may feel a bit engineered. Regardless, Steal is led by a robust performance by Turner. Her compelling performance is balanced with ferocity and compassion, proving she’s a capable leading lady. The unsung hero in the ensemble is Fortune-Lloyd, who has the most fascinating character of all. His detective is anything but cookie-cutter. Covaci plays a recently relapsed gambling addict who has to balance his own deep financial problems with the secret agendas of the crime he is solving, allowing him an opportunity to play into the rich contrast. If you haven’t seen Steal, it’s an easy weekend must-watch.

‘Every Year After’
One of the most beloved romantic dramas finally received the TV treatment in Every Year After. Developed by Amy B. Harris and Leila Gerstein, Every Year After adapts Carley Fortune’s Every Summer After. The story tells of Percy Fraser (Sadie Soverall) and Sam Florek’s (Matt Cornett) rollercoaster friends-to-lovers-to-exes relationship. Through flashbacks, it chronicles six pivotal summers and weeks in the lakeside town of Barry’s Bay, Ontario. In the present, 10 years later, Percy returns to Barry’s Bay and reunites with the Florek boys after the death of their mother, Sue (Elisha Cuthbert). Now, she must confront the people, memories, and painful mistakes she left behind. Every Year After explores first loves, grief, and the impact of our past choices. The series does a brilliant job of expanding and altering Fortune’s novel to fit an eight-episode arc, giving it even more color.
Fans of the book and newcomers to the series alike have found comfort in the romantic series. It is a fantastic depiction of growing up into adulthood and how young relationships can stay with you longer than expected. Percy and Sam are the central story of the season, but the narrative does a sublime job of growing the complementary characters, giving them their own arcs. In doing so, it richly explores the dynamics and trials of female friendships. The greatest change from page to screen was bringing Chantal (Aurora Perrineau) to Barry’s Bay. The series does a remarkable job of evoking nostalgia through the lakeside hamlet. Every Year After is a tender tale with emotional depth and charm that is destined to get better in Season 2, which will adapt Fortune’s follow-up novel, One Golden Summer.

‘Young Sherlock’
There are very few literary sleuths who are more beloved than Sherlock Holmes. Giving him a fun, edgy origin story was inevitable. Fortunately, with Guy Ritchie on board, it was going to be something worth watching. Inspired by Andrew Lane‘s Young Sherlock Holmes book series, Young Sherlock reimagines the origins of the world’s most famous detective. Set in the 1870s, the show follows a disgraced and reckless 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) at Oxford University, who becomes the prime suspect in a murder case. To clear his name, he is thrust into a sprawling, international conspiracy that marks the beginning of his detective career. Establishing a unique bond between Sherlock and his future intellectual rival, James Moriarty (Dónal Finn), and the intricacies of the history of Holmes’ household, Young Sherlock is a globe-trotting thriller that uses heart and humor to succeed.
Young Sherlock flourishes thanks to the star-defining performance from Fiennes Tiffin. As the titular amateur sleuth, he’s brash but charismatic. He’s confident, but not conceded. Tiffin gives the character a new life, redefining the Sherlock we grew up with. Paired with a masterful performance from Finn, the duo brings a new style of buddy adventure to the screen. Finn is a scene-stealer with wit and panache. For fans of the original Sherlock tales, Finn brings new depth to an often one-dimensional future villain. Rather than a mystery-of-the-week style format, Young Sherlock is a character-driven joyride with one magnificent mystery to untangle. If you love the Holmes boys, you’ll adore the performance of Max Irons as Mycroft and Joseph Fiennes as Silas, the worst dad of the year. Young Sherlock is a beautifully shot, stylized series with Ritchie’s stamp all over it. It’s a refreshing mix of buddy-comedy, a mystery, and an action thriller rolled up into one. Season 2 is destined to be as exciting as the first.
3
‘Bait’
If you’re seeing this entry and aren’t familiar with it or only know about it via Riz Ahmed’s Emmy nomination, you’re about to learn of the most underrated series of the year: Bait. Created by Ahmed, Bait centers on Shah Latif (Ahmed), a struggling Pakistani-British actor from a working-class family in West London. After blowing a screen test for the role of James Bond, photographs of him leaving the audition leaked and went viral. Spanning over four chaotic, spiraling days as Shah grapples with sudden, manufactured notoriety, the series brilliantly breaks down the absurd pursuit of fame, the cultural and societal struggles, and how his potential career breakthrough spills heavily into his private life. Bait is a highly original, thought-provoking, and deeply personal project that resonates with its grander themes. Bait is a series that took a big risk and reaped a big reward, masterfully mocking the entertainment industry while sharply commenting on the British-South Asian immigrant experience, racism, and the burden of cultural representation in the industry.
With a character who is vulnerable, narcissistic, and deeply anxious, Shah is worth following. The series gives viewers the chance to watch Shah grapple with race, religion, and how he is perceived by the public versus his own community. In doing so, it provides insight into a story rarely celebrated. If you enjoy Ahmed, you’ll adore his performance. He’s sharp, yet scattered. You resonate with his plight. The ensemble of one-off and recurring characters sufficiently builds the world around him. From his ambitious entrepreneurial cousin, Zulfi (Guz Khan), and his clawing, overbearing yet endearing mother, Tahira (Sheeba Chaddha), to his ex-girlfriend Yasmin (Ritu Arya) and his opportunistic rival Raj Thakkar (Himesh Patel), the side characters vibrantly color in Shah’s world. From straightforward stories to surrealistic duos in which Sir Patrick Stewart voices a pig’s head, the vision never strays. With only six tightly compacted episodes, once you start, you will not stop until the final credits.

Chloe Fineman Faces Claims Of Backstage Tension After ‘SNL’ Exit
Chloe Fineman‘s departure from “Saturday Night Live” has drawn attention to both her seven-season run on the show and claims about her relationships with fellow cast members.
Following her announcement of her exit, a source close to the show alleged that she did not always connect with everyone behind the scenes; however, another dismissed the claims as untrue.
The discussion comes as Chloe Fineman reflects on her time at “SNL” and prepares for the next chapter of her career after leaving the long-running NBC comedy series.
Sources Offer New Details About Chloe Fineman’s Time At ‘SNL’

Fineman may have built lasting friendships during her seven-year run on “Saturday Night Live,” but sources suggest her relationships behind the scenes were not all great.
Following the comedian’s announcement that she would be leaving the long-running NBC sketch series, an insider claimed that while Fineman was well-liked by some colleagues, she occasionally struggled to connect with everyone on the cast.
“Chloe could rub people the wrong way at times,” the insider told Page Six. “She got along really well with some cast members, but not everyone clicked with her.”
According to the source, certain cast members felt Fineman expected others to be flexible around her preferences and schedule. The insider emphasized, however, that any tension was relatively minor and did not escalate into major disputes or ongoing conflicts.
A separate source familiar with the situation pushed back on those claims, insisting there was “no truth” to suggestions that Fineman had difficulties with fellow cast members.
The reports surfaced just after Fineman revealed her departure from “SNL” in an emotional Instagram post.
Sharing a carousel of photos from her time on the show, she reflected on what she described as one of the greatest privileges of her career.
Fineman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside some of the entertainment industry’s most talented performers and creators, saying she felt fortunate to learn from them throughout her seven seasons on the program.
The comedian also looked back on the intense emotions that come with producing live sketch comedy each week.
“I’m definitely not the first to make this observation, but it really is funny looking back at it all now, because at the show you get so invested in everything you work on,” she wrote. “You sob uncontrollably when your sketch isn’t picked. You storm into a producer’s office telling them they just made the biggest mistake of their lives. You call everyone you know to complain. And then you look back a few years later, and it was a sketch called ‘lipstick for thicc dogs.’”
Chloe Fineman’s Next Chapter Begins With A New Netflix Drama

Her farewell announcement quickly drew supportive messages from current and former cast members. Marcello Hernandez praised her accomplishments, while comedian Ben Marshall referred to her as an “SNL legend.” Former cast member Ego Nwodim also congratulated Fineman and celebrated her next chapter.
Fineman’s exit also comes amid reports that she recently secured a role in David E. Kelley’s upcoming Netflix drama “Myron Bolitar,” an offer that reportedly played a major role in her decision to leave the sketch show.
Industry insiders said the opportunity came together quickly, forcing Fineman to make a difficult choice about her future.
“Chloe went back and forth, but it was a smart move — she knew she couldn’t say no,” an industry insider said. “After seven seasons on the show, and with all the new faces, it was probably the best move for her.”
A Look Back At The Actress’s Seven-Year Run On ‘SNL’

Fineman began her “Saturday Night Live” journey as a featured player during the 2019–20 season, a period that was later heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
She quickly gained attention during the show’s remotely produced episodes in 2020, where her self-recorded sketches highlighted her talent for celebrity impressions, a skill that soon became one of her defining trademarks on the series.
Over the years, she became known for portraying a wide range of public figures, including Anna Delvey, Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears, JoJo Siwa, Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Phoebe Dynevor, Nicole Kidman, and even fellow “SNL” star Kate McKinnon.
Chloe Fineman Starred In Several Fan-Favorite ‘SNL’ Sketches
Beyond her celebrity impressions, Fineman appeared in several fan-favorite sketches that gained significant attention online,
Some of her best include “Snack Homiez,” “Forever 31,” “Maybelline,” and the popular Domingo sketches alongside Marcello Hernandez.
While balancing her duties on “SNL,” she also expanded her career into film and voice acting.
Her credits include voice roles in Netflix’s “Big Mouth” and “Despicable Me 4,” as well as on-screen appearances in projects such as “Laid,” “Freakier Friday,” and Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis.”

Bunnie XO Unveils Lavish New Mansion After Jelly Roll Divorce
Bunnie XO is showing off her extravagant new surroundings just as details emerge about her confidential divorce settlement with Jelly Roll.
The “Dumb Blonde” host gave fans a glimpse inside a sprawling home complete with oversized closets, dedicated shoe storage, an outdoor shower, and a wellness center large enough to accommodate more than a dozen guests.
Although Bunnie did not reveal whether the residence was one of the properties divided in the settlement, the tour arrived hours after reports that the former couple had reached an agreement covering their homes, vehicles, intellectual property, and even an aircraft.

Bunnie shared an Instagram video documenting her friend Matt Mathews’ first visit to the property. “Matt seeing the new house for the first time,” the 46-year-old podcaster captioned the clip.
Mathews appeared overwhelmed as Bunnie guided him through the residence, which features a makeup room lined with shelving, an expansive closet, and a separate space dedicated to shoes. He was equally stunned by the outdoor shower and the size of the primary bedroom, joking about how small his own home felt in comparison.
The biggest surprise came when Bunnie revealed the property’s outdoor wellness center, which reportedly includes a sauna and enough space to accommodate approximately 15 guests. The backyard also contains a large swimming pool. “This is the craziest sh-t I’ve seen in my life,” Mathews told her. “I feel poor. I am broke. I want a new house.”
Bunnie XO And Jelly Roll Divide Their Major Assets
The house tour came as Bunnie and Jelly Roll finalized the financial terms of their divorce following nearly 10 years of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the former couple reached a confidential settlement earlier in July. Although the exact allocation of their property has not been made public, the agreement reportedly divides multiple homes, vehicles, intellectual property rights, and an aircraft.
Jelly Roll, whose legal name is Jason DeFord, will also make a one-time lump-sum payment to Bunnie. The amount has not been disclosed, and the agreement reportedly prevents either party from pursuing additional alimony.
The settlement also includes a mutual non-disparagement provision, requiring both Bunnie and Jelly Roll to refrain from publicly attacking each other.
Did Bunnie XO Receive The Couple’s Tennessee Compound?

Before the settlement was finalized, Bunnie suggested that Jelly Roll had agreed to give her one of their most meaningful properties. The former couple reportedly owned a $6.2 million mansion in Franklin, Tennessee, and a 500-acre country compound in Burns valued at approximately $4.5 million.
“J is so fck-ing sweet that he’s giving me that compound in the divorce because he knows how special it is to me,” Bunnie said during a previous episode of her podcast.
She also praised Jelly Roll for ensuring that she would be financially secure following their split. “I joke around with him,” she told listeners. “I’m like, ‘Well, you didn’t take care of me in the marriage, but you’re taking care of me in the divorce.’”
The Former Couple Still Plans To Have A Baby

Despite legally ending their marriage, Bunnie and Jelly Roll insist they are not completely separating their lives.
During a since-deleted “Dumb Blonde” episode addressing the breakup, Bunnie revealed that they still planned to have a child together after spending approximately two years pursuing fertility treatment. “We’re literally settling our divorce in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?” she said. “We’re still having a baby together.”
Bunnie described their relationship as unconventional and said they planned to co-parent the child while remaining close friends. “Nobody cheated on the other person,” she explained. “It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”
Jelly Roll is already the father of daughter Bailee Ann and son Noah from previous relationships. Bunnie has played an active role in Bailee’s life and has frequently spoken about her desire to become a biological mother through IVF and surrogacy.
Bunnie XO Wants To Move Beyond The Divorce

Bunnie later removed her podcast episode about the breakup despite claiming it had generated approximately $100,000 in revenue. She explained that she no longer wanted one of the most painful periods of her life to remain a permanent headline.
“I don’t want the divorce to become my entire personality,” she said in a subsequent episode. “I don’t want to be the poster child for divorce.”
The new house tour appears to reflect that desire to focus on what comes next. Rather than discussing the settlement directly, Bunnie allowed the size of her new surroundings, and her friend’s stunned reaction, to speak for itself.

Shaq Calls Out Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce After Wedding Snub
Shaquille O’Neal did not make the guest list for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s massive Madison Square Garden wedding, but he is not holding a grudge.
The NBA legend playfully called out the newlyweds after learning that his friend Charles Barkley had received an invitation to the July 3 ceremony. Despite being left out of the 1,000-person celebration, O’Neal offered Swift and Kelce the same heartfelt wish he shared following their engagement.

O’Neal addressed the apparent wedding snub while attending Fanatics Fest at the Javits Center in New York City on Friday, July 17.
When PEOPLE Magazine asked whether he and Barkley had received invitations, the four-time NBA champion offered a deadpan response directly to the camera. “No. Thanks, Taylor. Thanks, Travis,” O’Neal joked.
However, the 54-year-old quickly set aside the teasing to offer the newlyweds a four-word blessing. “May it last forever,” he said.
The message was not entirely new. After Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025, O’Neal told the outlet that he “couldn’t wait” for them to marry and similarly wished for their relationship to last.
Charles Barkley Turned Down His Invitation

While O’Neal was not invited, Barkley revealed that he received, and declined, an invitation to the highly anticipated celebration. “I don’t go to weddings and funerals,” Barkley said during an appearance on the “Unfiltered with Ricky Bo & Bill Colarulo” podcast.
The NBA analyst said he “politely declined” because he expected the high-profile event to become a “crap show.” “I love Travis and Jason [Kelce],” Barkley explained. “I’ve only met Taylor one time. But yeah, I did get an invite, but I said, ‘Hey, that’s just too much.’”
Barkley ultimately spent the day golfing rather than joining the hundreds of celebrities, athletes, musicians, and friends who gathered at Madison Square Garden.
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Married At Madison Square Garden

Swift and Kelce exchanged vows at the famed New York City arena after nearly three years together. The couple wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designed by Jonathan Anderson, with Swift completing her bridal look with Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry.
Instead of choosing traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, the singer selected her brother, Austin Swift, as her “Man of Honor.” Kelce’s older brother and “New Heights” co-host, Jason Kelce, served as his best man. Adam Sandler, a friend of the couple, reportedly officiated the ceremony.
After Swift and Kelce were announced as husband and wife, the jumbotrons outside Madison Square Garden displayed a celebratory message reading, “JUST&T MARRIED!”
The Guest List Combined Music, Hollywood, And Sports

Approximately 1,000 people reportedly attended the wedding, bringing together major figures from Swift’s music career and Kelce’s life in professional football. Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay, Jack Antonoff, Lena Dunham, and Zoë Kravitz were among the stars spotted arriving for the festivities.
Several sports personalities also received invitations, including Barkley and ESPN host Pat McAfee. McAfee nearly missed the celebration after mistaking his digital invitation for a phishing scam. The former NFL player said he deleted messages containing links from an unfamiliar phone number and only realized the invitation was legitimate after Kelce contacted him personally.
McAfee and his wife ultimately attended, with the sports personality later describing the wedding as one of the most spectacular events he had witnessed.
Shaq Has Supported The Couple From The Beginning

O’Neal has been complimentary of Swift and Kelce throughout their relationship. He met Swift at the 2024 Super Bowl, where the singer watched Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers. O’Neal has also developed a friendship with Kelce and previously joined him for an appearance on the “New Heights” podcast.
Swift and Kelce began dating privately in 2023 after the NFL star revealed that he had unsuccessfully attempted to give her his phone number at an “Eras Tour” concert. Their relationship became public that September when Swift attended her first Chiefs game and sat with Kelce’s mother, Donna.
Nearly three years later, O’Neal may not have witnessed them exchange vows in person, but his message for their marriage remained sincere, even if it came with a playful reminder that his invitation never arrived.
