Lil Jon’s Son Nathan Smith Dead: DJ Young Slade Found at 27

Georgia police have recovered the body of rapper Lil Jon’s missing son, Nathan Smith (a.k.a. DJ Young Slade). He was 27.
The Milton Police Department in Georgia confirmed via Facebook that on Friday, February 6, “divers with the Cherokee County Fire Department located and recovered a body” in a Mayfield Park pond near Smith’s home.
“The individual is believed to be Nathan Smith, pending official confirmation by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office,” the statement read. “Based on the investigation to date, there is no indication of foul play. However, the Milton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division will continue to treat this as an open and active investigation.”
The police department confirmed that “no further details will be released” until the cause and manner of death have been determined.
‘We extend our deepest condolences to the Smith family during this difficult time,” the statement concluded. “The department respectfully asks the community and members of the media to honor the family’s request for privacy as they grieve and navigate this tragedy.”

Lil Jon addressed his son’s death in a statement to Us on Friday. He thanked fans for “all of the prayers and support in trying to locate him over the last several days” and all the law enforcement agencies involved in the search.
“I am extremely heartbroken for the tragic loss of my son, Nathan Smith. His mother [Nicole Smith] and I are devastated. Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet. He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate and warmhearted — he loved his family and the friends in his life to the fullest,” the rapper said. “He was an amazingly talented young man; a music producer, an artist and engineer and graduate of NYU. We loved Nathan with all of our hearts and are incredibly proud of him. He was loved and appreciated, and in our last times together, we’re comforted in knowing that we expressed that very sentiment to him.”

Rapper Lil Jon is praying for the safe return of his son, Nathan Smith (AKA as DJ Young Slade), after he was reported missing in Georgia.
According to the Milton Police Department, Smith, 28, was last seen on Tuesday, February 3, at 6 a.m. local time in the vicinity of Baldwin Drive and Mayfield Road in Milton, Georgia.
“Subject ran out of his house and has been missing since,” police said in a missing persons report posted via Facebook on Tuesday. “Subject left on foot and does not possess a phone. He may be disoriented and in need of assistance. Family and friends are concerned for his safety.”
Smith is described as 5’9 and 150 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes.

Local outlet Rough Draft Atlanta reported that police were seen searching Mayfield Lake, which sits along Baldwin Drive. At this time, it’s unclear if it is related to Smith’s disappearance. (On Wednesday, February 4, police confirmed to Us Weekly that they have “no additional update and Nathan Smith is still missing.”
“The family is asking for privacy at this time,” Lil Jon’s rep said in a separate statement to Us on Wednesday. “We are also asking for continued prayers for Nathan to come home safe. Thank you.”
Smith is a DJ and musician who performs as DJ Young Slade or just Slade. His latest single, “Feels,” was released in March 2025.

“He’s in the music business. He’s an engineer and an artist,” Lil Jon told OK! Magazine in December 2024 when asked about his son. “He started off as a DJ, and he knows [my hit ‘Get Low’] is one of those songs you have to play. We haven’t talked about how he feels about it, but I’m sure he likes it.”
Lil Jon — who shares Nathan with estranged wife Nicole Smith — continued, “It’s cool he’s in the same business as me. I didn’t know what he was going to be when he was younger. I wasn’t trying to influence him to be in music. He had a natural musical ear. I remember he was 11 years old and we were in the car and the DJ was mixing on the radio and he could tell what song was coming in before it came on.”
Nathan’s most recent Instagram post was a photo of himself with his manager and Bow Wow visiting the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Taylor Sheridan’s New ‘Yellowstone’ Sequel Gets Season 2 Update Before It Even Premieres
The next chapter of the Yellowstone universe hasn’t even aired yet — and it’s already getting future-facing momentum. Taylor Sheridan’s first post-Yellowstone sequel, Marshals, has landed a notable Season 2 update just weeks ahead of its series debut.
Set to premiere Sunday, March 1 on CBS, Marshals picks up after the events of Yellowstone and follows Kayce Dutton as he steps into a new role with the U.S. Marshals, tackling high-risk missions across Montana. And while Season 1 hasn’t even rolled out its first episode, CBS is already preparing for what comes next.
According to a new report, the network is setting up a writers’ room for Season 2, expected to open soon. It’s not a formal renewal — but make no mistake, this is a strong signal of confidence. Networks don’t spin up writers’ rooms early unless they’re planning for longevity. Here’s the official logline:
“With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. What Can We Expect From ‘Marshals’?
Grimes had previously confirmed he thought he was one-and-done following Kayce’s Yellowstone ending, but said new showrunner Spencer Hudnut pitched an idea that finally convinced him. “It opens up a whole new world for him,” Grimes said, teasing a version of Kayce we haven’t seen before — one who’s grieving rather than trying to prove his own family loyalty.
“He has his dream life now, so now what does he do? I think we left him in a perfect place, and then the new showrunner, Spencer [Hudnut], called and he had an idea that was very, very good. And that was it. I was like, ‘Ok, that makes sense. We get to see him be a different Kayce than we’ve ever seen.’”

Two years after Snowpiercer wrapped its final run, streaming audiences have clearly been craving another high-stakes, trapped-in-transit thriller — and they’ve found it in Hijack. The Idris Elba-led drama is once again climbing streaming charts, proving that claustrophobic tension and real-time pressure still hit hard. Hijack recently returned for Season 2 on Apple TV, more than two years after its debut season ended.
Critically, the comeback hasn’t been smooth. Season 2 launched with a rough 20% score on Rotten Tomatoes, though that number has since climbed to 58% as more reviews rolled in. That’s a noticeable dip from Season 1’s impressive 90%, and it’s dragged the show’s overall critics’ score down to 74%. The audience score hasn’t landed yet — which could change the conversation — especially considering viewers rated Season 1 at a mixed 51%.
Elba stars as Sam Nelson, a high-powered corporate negotiator who keeps finding himself in very bad places at very bad times. In Season 1, Nelson was trapped aboard Kingdom Flight K29 when it was hijacked midair. Season 2 swaps the plane for a Berlin underground train, once again locking Nelson inside a moving metal tube with lives on the line. The big difference this time? There’s a creeping sense that Nelson may not have ended up here by accident.
Is ‘Hijack’ Worth Watching?
Collider’s review stated that Hijack was an effectively mounted but overstretched thriller that struggled to justify its limited-series format. Led by a reliably compelling Idris Elba, the real-time, skybound drama delivered early tension as a businessman attempted to negotiate his way through a terrorist hijacking using words rather than weapons. That grounded approach initially set the show apart from similar action thrillers, but the novelty wore thin as the episodes piled up.
While Hijack doesn’t need the luminous countdown clock that 24 had, it would have benefited from some sort of looming visual to make the series more immersive. Hijack could have been one of the more thrilling shows to come out this summer, but it’s simply stretching a simple premise far too thin. It lays out multiple subplots that make the story convoluted, and the episodes start to feel repetitive after a while. Elba does his best to carry the story, once again delivering some solid work, but it’s not enough to save this new miniseries from being seized by mediocrity.

The California man facing federal charges for allegedly texting Nancy Guthrie‘s family about the bitcoin ransom payment has been granted bond by a judge — and may be outta federal custody in no time.
Derrick Callella, a 42-year-old man from Hawthorne, made his first court appearance Friday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen E. Scott ordered Callella to be released on $20,000 bond … and he’s been ordered to not to contact the alleged victims or witnesses.
Federal prosecutors claim Callella texted Nancy’s daughter Annie and her son-in-law Tommaso Cioni, “Did you get the bitcoin were [sic] waiting on our end for the transaction.”
The alleged texts were sent Wednesday … after ‘TODAY’ host Savannah Guthrie posted a video acknowledging the ransom letters that were sent to TMZ and two local outlets in Tucson, AZ.
To be clear … in the criminal complaint against Callella, the feds say the text messages he allegedly sent Nancy’s family have NOT been linked to the ransom demand.
It’s not clear if he is out of the joint yet … but Callella is due back in court next Thursday for his arraignment.
As far as GloRilla‘s sister is concerned, the rapper has a responsibility to ensure their family’s financial stability.

Victoria’s allegations continued, claiming the white Jaguar GloRilla gifted to their father last November wasn’t brand new. When asked if her sister had $2 million hypothetically, how much did she believe the rapper owed each of them? Victoria gave a surprising answer.
She claimed she wasn’t asking for millions, noting that in that hypothetical situation, GloRilla should give each of them $2,500. Victoria’s cries about her sister’s indifference began on Facebook, where she dropped various allegations of wrongdoing.

Victoria claimed they slept on “busted air mattresses” and took baths using water bottles when their parents couldn’t make ends meet. She felt that after experiencing these hardships together, GloRilla was in the wrong for enjoying the celebrity life without caring for her siblings.

Following her Facebook rant, Victoria posted a video where she criticized her for airing GloRilla’s alleged faults. The clip, reposted on Instagram, captured Victoria reiterating that her sister shouldn’t talk about their struggles while ignoring the rest of their family.
She argued that it was unfair how willing GloRilla was to spend on her friends when their family needed financial support. Victoria did not stop there, calling out her sister in another Facebook post after the latter seemingly defended herself with screenshots.

The TV Personality Denied Using Ozempic

Kelly Osbourne Is Still Grieving Her Dad Ozzy’s Death
It’s been almost eight months since Kelly lost her rock legend father Ozzy Osbourne following his health struggles at the time.
Yet, she shared during her appearance at the Grammys that it hasn’t necessarily gotten easier for her, as she joined other stars to honor him in Sunday’s In Memoriam segment of the prestigious music event.

Quinton Aaron is still in the hospital … but it sure sounds like things are looking up, as TMZ just got a great update from his family.
As you know … “The Blind Side” star is recovering in the hospital from a spinal stroke … and for a while there, it was sounding not so good. But, it seems he is on the mend.
The Aaron family tells TMZ … “Quinton is in a jovial mood, now laughing and smiling and is communicating to the best of his ability while he continues to recover. He’s watching tv and is excited to watch the Super Bowl from his hospital bed this weekend.”
There is also an update on the woman by his side, previously making medical decisions for him, who claimed to be his wife — but his family has called BS on all that.
His “wife” Margarita tells TMZ … she received a call a couple of days ago from a hospital official telling her she is no longer allowed at the hospital. She’s concerned Quinton is going to believe she abandoned him, and she does not have any way of reaching him since she has his cell phone. She tells us she still loves Quinton, and it’s killing her she can’t be by his side.
Margarita previously told us … she and Aaron “got spiritually married.” She added … she does NOT have power of attorney, and has never made medical decisions on Quinton’s behalf.
