Kate Hudson Shares Wedding Planning Concerns Amid Engagement
Kate Hudson admittedly has some concerns about planning her future wedding as her 5-year engagement to partner Danny Fujikawa continues.
“I still am not married. I’m just engaged. And I keep thinking about [the] wedding and what are we going to do,” the actress, 47, said on the Tuesday, September 8, episode of her and her brother Oliver Hudson‘s “Sibling Revelry” podcast on iHeartRadio. “Every time we started thinking about who we have to invite and Danny’s like, ‘I just want a small wedding.’ Our family alone is like 50 people.”
Kate explained to guests Joey King and Hunter King that her and Oliver’s family is “huge.”
“We’ve got, like, a million kids. There’s a million uncles and aunts and cousins,” she added.
Kate also admitted that the price tag attached to her future nuptials is also a factor in why she and Fujikawa have been taking their time when it comes to setting an official date.
“That’s part of why I don’t want to get married,” she confessed. “It’s too expensive.”
Kate and Fujikawa, 40, started dating in 2016 and welcomed daughter Rani Rose, 7, in October 2018. (The Running Point actress is also mother to sons Ryder, 22, and Bingham, 14, whom she shares with ex husband Chris Robinson and ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, respectively.)
After five years of dating, Fujikawa popped the question in September 2021.
“Let’s go! 👰♀️💒🤵🏻♂️,” Kate wrote via Instagram while showing off her engagement ring in a sweet photo.
Two months later, Kate opened up about how daunting it can be to plan a wedding.
“You know what I’m doing? I’m pre-planning the planning. Just kind of thinking of what we want to do and then I’m going back and forth between like, ‘What is this really going to look like?’” she told Entertainment Tonight, comparing the process to her 2009 rom-com Bride Wars. “Obviously, we’re so excited. But the idea of planning a wedding is, like, a lot. It’s a lot. I made a whole movie about it.”
Kate echoed similar sentiments two years later, when she and Fujikawa were vexed on what kind of wedding to have.
“We do sometimes go back and forth with the traditional Japanese wedding ceremony, which would be really beautiful and quite emotional for Danny, seeing as his dad is gone,” she said during a February 2023 appearance on the “Table for Two” podcast.. “It’ll totally be a destination wedding. It’ll be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come to show up. To me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you’ll be there. … If someone’s like, ‘I can’t really be there,’ then I don’t want you there. That’s all I got right now. That’s all I got for the wedding.”

Brad Pitt Believes His Performance In This 80% RT Movie Had One Major Flaw
Sometimes, actors are their own worst critics. Even if they’ve won Academy Awards, there are plenty of Hollywood stars who critique themselves as harshly (if not more harshly) than their own critics. Brad Pitt is no stranger to this mentality either, though you may be surprised by which of his performances he despises. Before he returns to theaters this fall with the upcoming Heart of the Beast, you ought to revisit his memorable performance in A River Runs Through It — the famed Robert Redford picture he thought he did poorly in.
Brad Pitt Was Quite Critical of His Work on ‘A River Runs Through It’
It’s been over 30 years since Redford made A River Runs Through It, an American period drama based on the memoir of the same name by Norman Maclean. But despite all the praise and attention at the Oscars that the film garnered, Pitt struggled with his performance as the troubled Montana reporter Paul Maclean. Back in 2011, the star spoke with Entertainment Weekly about his career highlights at the time, noting that, despite Redford’s best directorial efforts, he didn’t believe that he was ultimately “skilled” enough for the role.
“I think I could have done better. Maybe it was the pressure of the part, and playing someone who was a real person — and the family was around occasionally — and not wanting to let Redford down.”
While Pitt also admitted that it had been a long time since he’d seen the film, his feelings remained the same after nearly 20 years. Of course, anyone who has had the pleasure of enjoying this visual memoir of a bygone era of the American West will gladly note that Pitt is fantastic on the screen. More than that, he’s easily one of its defining features; indeed, Pitt truly makes the movie. Sure, Craig Sheffer is fantastic as Norman, and Tom Skerritt‘s performance as the Reverend Maclean is quite profound, but the youthful energy Pitt brings to the role of Paul was undoubtedly a career-making performance. Pitt’s carefree younger Maclean boy — who is somehow as charismatic as he is emotionally reserved — understandably earned the high praise of critics everywhere.
Although Pitt would revisit the world of early 20th century Montana later in the romantic drama Legends of the Fall (which, ironically, saw him playing a fairly similar character who was also a bootlegger during the Prohibition), the truth of the matter is that A River Runs Through It is an excellent picture that is only made better by Pitt being in it. In fact, one might even argue that it’s because of Pitt that the entire thing lands. The stark contrast between Paul and his older brother Norman only works because of Pitt’s on-screen charisma, and the two often stand antithetical to one another as brothers often do. Some may consider it one of Pitt’s most underrated features, but perhaps the best way to describe it is underappreciated.
‘A River Runs Through It’ Is a True American Classic
There are few movies that capture such a distinct yet beautiful time in American history better than A River Runs Through It. Set in Montana at the turn of the 20th century, it chronicles not just the boyhood of Norman and Paul, but how their paths diverged in adulthood. Redford — in one of his greatest works of cinematic art — was able to do the impossible here by constructing a truly breathtaking snapshot in time, pulling directly from the first-hand accounts of the real-life Norman that float right off the page. The film is no different, as it evokes nostalgic feelings for a time that one did not live through, and provides a call to adventure towards the simple outdoors. It’s hard to describe just how A River Runs Through It can touch deep into one’s soul, which is perhaps why Taylor Sheridan honored the idea himself in The Madison.
It’s hard to imagine why Brad Pitt can’t bring himself to see what so many others have regarding this picture, but the best way to appreciate it is by revisiting the film. A River Runs Through It has long been considered an essential Robert Redford movie, one that proves his strengths behind-the-camera as he evokes provocative and powerful performances from his stars. Pitt may not be able to appreciate what he was able to achieve on the big screen, but we certainly do.
A River Runs Through It is available to rent digitally on Prime Video.

Jon Pardi’s Wife Allegedly Watched Him Cheat On Bus Cameras
Jon Pardi and his estranged wife, Summer Pardi, presented a united front when they publicly announced the end of their marriage. However, a new report claims the couple’s carefully worded statement concealed a far more painful breakup behind the scenes. Multiple sources alleged that Summer witnessed the country singer cheating on two occasions through security cameras installed on his tour bus, an experience that reportedly became the final straw in their marriage.

According to the Daily Mail, Summer allegedly had access to security cameras located inside her husband’s tour bus. “There were security cameras on his tour bus that she had access to,” one insider told the outlet, who also alleged “he cheated on her two different times, at least, and she saw it all on camera. Pretty stupid of him.”
A second Nashville insider reportedly corroborated the account and claimed that one of the women was “a groupie.” “I feel for her,” the second insider said of Summer. “She’s so nice, and it’s just embarrassing and humiliating. They have two young girls, and they’re going to find out about it and see all this one day.”
One Nashville source also said people around the former couple have welcomed the split. “A lot of people are very, very glad they’ve finally split,” the insider told the publication.
Neither Jon nor Summer addressed infidelity in their joint divorce announcement.
The Former Couple Prioritized Their Daughters In Divorce Announcement

Jon and Summer announced their separation in July, nearly two months after Summer reportedly filed for divorce in Tennessee. “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” they said.
The pair emphasized that their daughters, Presley, 3, and Sienna, 2, would remain at the center of their decisions. They said their children “remain our highest priority” and added that they are “committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.”
“Thank you so much for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate these changes as a family,” the statement concluded.
PEOPLE reported that Summer filed for divorce on May 12 and identified May 11 as the couple’s date of separation. She cited irreconcilable differences and requested spousal support and primary residential custody of their daughters. “He’s gonna be lucky if he has any pennies left. He’s in deep sh-t,” an insider claimed.
A third source told the outlet that Summer remains in the family’s home outside Nashville while Jon has moved elsewhere. “She definitely doesn’t live with that man,” the source said.
Signs Of Trouble Reportedly Appeared Before The Divorce

Speculation about the couple’s marriage had circulated online long before they confirmed the split. Jon and Summer briefly unfollowed one another on Instagram in December, reportedly fueling claims that their relationship was in trouble.
Social media users also noticed that Summer appeared without her wedding ring in photographs posted months before the divorce announcement. In 2024, she seemingly backed out of a planned appearance with Jon at the 58th Country Music Association Awards and instead traveled to California to spend time with her parents.
Another cryptic moment came in December 2025, when Summer shared a video featuring a red dress she had planned to wear to a “holiday Christmas party that I didn’t attend.”
Around the same time, she posted a clip of herself using a vibrating exercise platform. “Just over here vibrating out all the bullsh-t from 2025,” she said.
Those posts did not confirm marital problems, but they attracted renewed attention once Summer’s divorce filing became public.
Summer Pardi Previously Spoke About Adjusting To Life On Tour

Jon and Summer met in 2017 after his mother introduced them. Summer later recalled during a 2024 appearance on the “Get Real” podcast that Jon’s dating history helped inspire the introduction.
She said they were matched “because [Jon] had fail after fail of girlfriends.” “He was looking for a good girl. I was looking for a cowboy,” Summer explained.
Jon invited her to a concert in Denver for their first date. Summer previously told People that within “five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over,” while the country star characterized their immediate connection as “love at first sight.”
They married in 2020, but Summer later admitted that adapting to her husband’s touring lifestyle had been difficult. “I mean, I definitely wasn’t made for it,” she said on the “Get Real” podcast. “I was such a routine homebody, like same breakfast, every day, same, you know, wake up, gym, scrambled egg, work, home, nothing outside those lines.”
She continued, “To be thrown into this lifestyle where there’s no routine and no schedule in a sense of like normalcy. But I’ve done well; I will say I have. I will pat myself on the back because I have done better than I thought I would do.”
Summer described dealing with a lack of routine and “sh-tty sleep” while sharing a tour bus with approximately 13 people during the early years of their relationship.
The Hairstylist Reportedly Tried To Save Her Marriage

Summer has indicated that she invested considerable effort into therapy before ending her marriage. In July, she said she attended an “intensive solo therapy retreat.” “I’ve done so much therapy over the last three years. Heavy on the intense therapy over the last year and a half, two,” she said.
The Daily Mail’s source claimed Summer went through a period of anger but has since reached a place of acceptance. “It’s not an anger anymore. She had her phase of being angry, but now she’s come to terms with it,” the source shared.
Summer has recently been spending time with her friend RaeLynn, who filed for divorce from Josh Davis in June after 10 years of marriage. The third source claimed the women are “out doing life and enjoying life” and now appear “happier” and “like themselves again.”
For Summer, the next chapter appears focused on rebuilding her life and co-parenting her daughters while the divorce proceeds. The reported tour-bus allegations, however, offer a dramatically different picture from the respectful public statement that first announced the marriage was ending.

Bekah Martinez Explains Decision to Take a Break From Homeschooling
Bachelor Nation’s Bekah Martinez is opening up about her family’s decision to take a break from homeschooling.
“I made four transitions in and out of being homeschooled throughout my own childhood,” Martinez, 31, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, September 9. “My mom and dad always took schooling decisions year by year, child by child. I had 8 years of homeschooling in total, 3 years of private school, 2 of public.”
She continued, “One might think this would feel unpredictable or chaotic. Instead, I felt deeply safe in the knowledge that my parents cared more [about] our shifting needs than others’ opinions about consistency. I knew that I needed a break this year. I’m not sure what next year will look like, but I know that homeschooling and our family will meet again when the time is right. 🕯️⭐️.”
Alongside the message, Martinez shared images that read, “We’re not saying goodbye to homeschooling. We’re saying see you later.”
Bachelor Nation first met Martinez when she appeared as a contestant on Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor in 2018. While Lukendyk Jr. ultimately found The One in Lauren Burnham, Martinez found love offscreen with Grayston Leonard. The pair made their romance Instagram official in July 2018.
After three months of dating Leonard, Martinez learned that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child. She ultimately gave birth to daughter Ruth in 2019. Later that year, Martinez shared with Us that she has dreams of expanding her and Leonard’s brood.
“I would be fine with five or six [children],” she said to Us at the time “Maybe just five. But for now, we want to keep it just [Ruth] for a couple of years. We can travel with her really easily, so we want to stick with her and then go for the rest.”
The following year, the pair added son Franklin to their family. Martinez and Leonard later shared their engagement in 2022 before welcoming their third child, son Ernest, the next year. In 2025, Martinez gave her followers a peek at homeschooling her kids.
“Back to school— we’ve got a kindergartener and first grader in the house 🍎,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Last year was a bit of trial and error with my first year teaching Ruth; I was inconsistent and a bit bogged down by trying too many different curriculums.”
Martinez went on to share that she utilizes the match with confidence curriculum, which requires “very little prep” on her end. For reading, she borrows “BOB books for Franklin and various Level 1 reading books for Ruth from the library” and uses the Reading.com app.
“I like the Charlotte Mason approach to history, which is basically just using regular picture books and historical fiction stories to teach about events throughout time,” she wrote. “It was important to me to find a curriculum that included perspectives outside of the traditional colonialist narrative and without a heavily religious slant, and I was struggling!”
As for science, Martinez explained that the family is using books from the library and children’s nature magazines, while they use the Handwriting Without Tears workbooks. While sharing the details, Martinez also uploaded several photos of her eldest kids smiling beside a stack of books.

Influencer Charged After Trying to Catch Alleged Predator
An influencer known for his efforts to catch alleged child predators is facing charges after being stabbed during an altercation with a person he accused of trying to meet with a minor, according to reports.
Nicholas Attalla, who goes by “Niky Sal” on social media, was reportedly stabbed while confronting two men at a Tim Hortons in Jamestown, New York, in December 2025, according to police, WIVB-TV reported. Attalla, of Pennsylvania, tries to catch potential child predators by posing as minors online.
He’s described as a “child predator hunter” on his Facebook page, which has nearly 50,000 followers.
While at the Tim Hortons in December, Attalla accused one of the men, James Morris, of trying to meet with a 14-year-old girl and allegedly threatened him, according to Jamestown police, per WIVB-TV.
As a result, a fight broke out between Attalla, Morris and the other man, leading to Morris allegedly stabbing Attalla, police said, according to WGRZ. Attalla was hospitalized in connection with the incident.
The physical altercation endangered a 1-year-old child who had been at the Tim Hortons with their family, according to police, per the TV station.
Now, Attalla is charged with second-degree criminal nuisance, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree assault, according to authorities, WIVB-TV reported.
Morris was previously charged in January with first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence, according to the outlet. Like Attalla, Morris and the other man involved in the alleged altercation, Eric Spencer, have since been charged with second-degree criminal nuisance and endangering the welfare of a child.
During the investigation, authorities didn’t find any evidence indicating Attalla, Morris or Spencer had communicated with each other on their phones before the Tim Hortons encounter, according to Erie News Now.
Attalla turned himself in to Jamestown police on Friday, September 4, according to the outlet. He required surgery as a result of the stabbing, according to a GoFundMe created in December to support him with his medical bills.
The page said “Niky was stabbed during a catch” and that he had “no feeling in his arm” in December.
On Attalla’s “Niky Sal” Facebook page, he shares videos of alleged child predator “catches.”
“This page is for educational purposes and to help spread awareness of online child predators,” his profile reads.
Information regarding whether Attalla, Morris or Spencer had retained legal counsel or entered pleas wasn’t immediately available.
Jamestown is about a 70-mile drive southwest from Buffalo.

Megan Thee Stallion Reflects On Breakup With Klay Thompson
Megan Thee Stallion is finally giving details about her breakup with Klay Thompson, four months after the news shocked the Hotties. At the time, she teased the split in a social media statement, before later confirming it. The breakup led to her early exit from her debut Broadway appearance in ‘Moulin Rouge.’ Recently, in a cover story for InStyle Magazine, Megan explained how the end of the romance felt and where she stands now.

Megan Says Split From Klay Thompson Was “Very Rough”
In her sit-down with InStyle, Meg was as candid about wanting to expand her Hot Girl Universe as her breakup. She admitted to journalist Jason Sheeler that she’s still “trying [her] best” about how she’s feeling now. The interview, by the way, took place in mid-July.
“I feel like I’ve been put through the washing machine and the dryer with tins, shovels and a cactus,” Thee Stallion told InStyle.
She further explained that the split was “very rough,” but trailed off in thought before explaining what part “especially.” Additionally, she implied to the outlet that she constantly felt uncomfortable, trying to belong where she shouldn’t. Back in July, when the interview happened, she said she was locked in on finding Megan Thee Stallion instead of trying to fit herself into Klay Thompson’s life.
“How do I want to say this gently? What’s meant for you is always going to work out. And if something is constantly making you feel uncomfortable, just on edge all the time, you probably are not supposed to be there. God will always make you uncomfortable when something is not meant for you. I think I just kept trying to make pieces fit that didn’t belong, trying to fit myself into someone else’s life. I was losing myself a little bit. I am now in the space of finding me again,” Megan told InStyle.
As a single woman in July, Megan told the outlet she hasn’t “smiled so much in so long.” She explained: “Like, I’m outside twirling in the grass like, ‘Wow, it’s a beautiful day outside!’”
What Did Thee Stallion Previously Say About Her Breakup?
As said, on April 25, Megan Thee Stallion gagged internet users when she hinted at the end of her romance with Klay Thompson. Up until that point, the Hotties often praised the NBA baller for his apparent affection for the Houston rapper. They quickly became a celeb couple to keep up with, from her date recap videos to rumors of them buying a home and moving in together. Then, in her initial breakup statement, she shattered the public perception of being a perfect couple. She spoke cheating while having her around his family “playing house.” Megan also accused Klay, without naming him, of having “horrible mood swings” and “treatment” of her during the basketball season. “…Now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous,’” she wrote in the Instagram Story post.
Soon after her social media post, Megan Thee Stallion alleged cheating in a statement to TMZ about Klay Thompson:
“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those are compromised, there’s no real path forward.” She continued, “I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity,” Meg told TMZ in April.
Klay Thompson has never addressed the breakup, but a few days after Megan aired him out, he made a rare move. The pro-athlete got on Instagram Live while boating and vibing to music. Then, in May, Meg teased a new track that seemed to shade the split.
Here’s What Megan Thee Stallion Learned From Her Relationship
While speaking to InStyle in July, Megan also clarified the one thing she won’t tolerate in love: disrespect. She said, “You will not disrespect me. And you will be thankful. Period.” Additionally, Thee Stallion explained that she cannot be a person who isn’t her and she can’t choose not to work. “I cannot not go to work. I’m going to be Megan Thee Stallion,” she told InStyle. A homebody she is not, Megan clarified.
“I love being me. I love rapping. I love interacting with my fans. I love shooting music videos. I’m not a person who is in the house 24-7. I’m never going to be that. And whoever dates me is gonna have to just understand, like, she is her own person. She’s her own boss. I cannot be minimized,” Thee Stallion said.
Furthermore, Megan said the experience with Klay Thompson taught her that she wants an equal, and who she doesn’t want.
“I will not be behind any man. I will have a partner. I will be equals with my partner. I’m never gonna take the backseat to anything. So just going forward, I think I’ve just learned this is the type of person that I want to be with, this is what I will tolerate, this is what I won’t tolerate. And if you can’t take that, we just gotta respectfully go our separate ways.”
Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, also recognizes that “somebody not seeing your value doesn’t make your value go down.” She said: “People cheating on you, that doesn’t have anything to do with you. You’re not less attractive. You’re not less of a good person. Even though it might feel like that. Oh my gosh, why me? Why am I not enough? Cause it could definitely feel like, Why am I not enough?”

Lori Loughlin’s Secret Marriage Struggle Resurfaces Amid Divorce
Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have officially reached the end of their marriage, but signs of trouble had been building for years.
The actress’s recent move to file for divorce has resurfaced remarks by sources that their relationship never fully recovered from the college admissions scandal that landed both of them behind bars.
The legal ordeal reportedly changed the dynamic between Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, leaving lingering resentment even after they completed their sentences.

Loughlin and Giannulli remained married for years after Operation Varsity Blues, but behind the scenes, their relationship had reportedly changed significantly.
Earlier this year, an insider claimed the controversy marked a major shift in their marriage and created problems they were never able to completely resolve.
“The school scandal was a turning point, and they never really connected or recovered their relationship after that,” the source told Us Weekly.
Loughlin was also said to have carried resentment over Giannulli’s role in the decisions that led to their legal troubles.
The Actress’ Never Fully Forgave’ Mossimo Giannulli For The Scandal

Although Loughlin did not place all of the responsibility on her husband, an insider claimed she believed he had taken the lead.
“She didn’t fully blame him, but he spearheaded it,” the source explained, adding that Loughlin “never fully forgave him and never fully got over it.”
Time apparently did little to restore their connection. Another source said the couple gradually became more distant as their daughters grew older and the immediate fallout from the scandal subsided.
Eventually, they reportedly realized there was little holding their relationship together beyond the life they had already built.
The Scandal Sent Lori Loughlin And Mossimo Giannulli To Prison

The controversy that reportedly altered their marriage began in 2019, when Loughlin and Giannulli became two of the parents implicated in the nationwide college admissions scheme.
The couple was accused of paying $500,000 to have their daughters, Bella and Olivia Jade, presented as rowing “recruits” to secure admission to the University of Southern California, despite neither daughter participating competitively in the sport.
Loughlin and Giannulli initially fought the allegations before ultimately changing course and pleading guilty in 2020. The case resulted in both spending time in federal custody.
Loughlin received a two-month prison sentence and was released in December 2020. Giannulli faced a longer punishment, serving five months before completing his sentence the following year.
The consequences extended beyond their time behind bars. According to one source, the couple continued pointing fingers at each other over what had happened, while the experience became a lasting source of tension within their marriage.
The Actress Finally Filed For Divorce After A Year Living Separately

Years after the scandal and nearly a year after the couple began living separately, Loughlin finally made their breakup official by filing for divorce from Giannulli on September 4. The actress cited “irreconcilable differences” in the court documents, per The Blast.
Loughlin and Giannulli had been married since 1997 and share two adult daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade. Her filing listed August 25, 2025, as their separation date, although their breakup did not become public until October of that year.
By January, reconciliation already appeared increasingly unlikely. A source said Loughlin remained “still extremely angry” with Giannulli, while he wanted matters between them settled privately.
Another insider summed up how far their relationship had deteriorated, saying, “Lori feels betrayed,” and that “they’re in very different places.”
Those earlier doubts about their future have now been answered by Loughlin’s decision to legally end their marriage of almost three decades.
Lori Loughlin Is Moving Forward With Her Career After Divorcing Giannulli

As one major chapter of her personal life closes, Loughlin appears focused on reviving her acting career. The actress has returned to Hallmark and is already filming new projects for the network.
“She is thrilled to be back working,” a source told Page Six, adding that Loughlin is “back at Hallmark working happily.”
Her professional comeback coincides with a gradual return to public life. Loughlin recently rejoined social media after years away, while keeping details surrounding her divorce largely private.
As one insider put it, “She has been keeping everything with the divorce close to herself.”
For Loughlin, the renewed focus on acting signals a different direction after years in which the admissions scandal and problems within her marriage repeatedly overshadowed her career.

‘South Park’ Season 26 Officially Retired One of Its Most Controversial Characters
South Park has never been shy about parodying and satirizing pop culture and current events. And before its recent turn, where creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone made Donald Trump the butt of their jokes, Season 26 made a significant change, retiring an old joke that was already starting to sour. For years, South Park had already been satirizing Trump, and during the president’s initial 2015 campaign, the character Mr. Garrison (Parker) became a vehicle for that comedy. Mr. Garrison has been the subject of controversies before, so him picking up the persona of Trump, donning a suit, red tie, and orange makeup, isn’t necessarily a shocking twist. But the show was right to leave this aspect of the character behind.
‘South Park’s Season 26 Finale Perfectly Wrapped Up Mr. Garrison’s Trump Storyline
In the Season 26 finale, “Spring Break,” Mr. Garrison and his boyfriend, Rick (Stone), go on a vacation together to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. While on the boardwalk, Garrison comes upon a Trump-themed shop, selling all the merchandise from his Trump persona. In a commentary on addiction, Garrison soon becomes addicted to acting like Trump once again, after giving it up in a prior season. Although the episode was not rated the highest, the plotline still brought some detrimental consequences for the character of Garrison and his path moving forward on the show. After being threatened with the end of his relationship with Rick, Garrison vows to quit the Trump routine in the hopes of keeping Rick in his life. The finale ends with the two of them making amends.
‘South Park’ Pivoted With Trump After His Re-Election
Thanks to the shortened time it takes to create South Park episodes, Parker and Stone have always been able to comment on pop culture as it is happening. Mr. Garrison’s Trump persona was created as a result of Trump’s rise in 2015, but as outrageous as it seemed at the time, when Trump won the presidency, Garrison’s persona no longer worked for the show. In a 2017 interview, Parker commented on the fact that satire now felt like reality. In trying to come up with new storylines for the show, Parker said, “We were really trying to make fun of what was going on, but we couldn’t keep up and what was actually happening was much funnier than anything we could come up with.”
Later in 2024, before Donald Trump was re-elected, both Parker and Stone admitted that presidential elections have always been difficult for them to cover. Stone said, “Obviously, it’s fucking important, but it kind of takes over everything, and we just have less fun.” With Parker adding that they simply didn’t know what more they could say about Trump. However, this all changed after November 2024. With South Park set to premiere Season 27 in July 2025, Parker and Stone stopped pulling punches when it came to the president.
The premiere, “Sermon on the ‘Mount” took direct shots at Trump, putting him in bed with the literal devil while commenting on everything from the Epstein files to the Paramount Skydance merger. Once again, the show was able to comment directly on recent events regarding the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which had only been announced over a week prior. This time, South Park didn’t dress Mr. Garrison up like Trump to make a statement. Instead, we see Trump exactly as the series once depicted Saddam Hussein, with his actual picture, and in bed with the literal devil. Trump threatens to sue the town for their rejection of Christianity, while the townspeople are advocating for the separation of church and state.
Unsurprisingly, the episode’s success and the reaction from the public was instant. The White House offered a statement on the episode, saying, “This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,” and that “no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.” However, the episode quickly topped the charts on Paramount+ after its debut and broke viewership records by attracting 5.9 million views, making it the biggest premiere for the show since 2022. Parker and Stone made the right decision to retire Mr. Garrison’s Trump persona, and by changing their approach to talking about current events, the show continues its legacy as one of the most relevant TV shows in history.

Joy-Anna Duggar is approaching her fourth pregnancy with a completely different perspective this time around.
The 28-year-old is expecting another child with her husband, Austin Forsyth. Joy-Anna has also started serious conversations with Forsyth about possibly ending their childbearing journey.
Joy-Anna Duggar and Forsyth married in 2017 and eventually welcomed three children together. They are parents to Gideon, Evelyn, and Gunner, while the expecting mother also experienced the devastating loss of daughter Annabell Elise in 2019.
The mother of three says her fourth pregnancy has felt “different” from the beginning. She admitted that she has been sicker and considerably more tired this time around. She also wondered whether her body was reacting differently after four years without having a child.
The mother of three said the age gaps between her children previously felt much smaller. This pregnancy has instead left her feeling like she is “starting over in a lot of ways.” She has experienced round ligament pain since her first trimester and morning sickness that continued into her second, leading her to question, “What is happening?”
Joy-Anna is deliberately trying to enjoy the experience, even though it has been hard. Her sister, Jinger Duggar, asked if she plans to have more babies, but Joy-Anna said, “I don’t know.”
PEOPLE reported that Joy-Ann also opened up about whether this baby could be her last. She doesn’t feel she has finished having children, but Forsyth has questioned whether they should continue after this pregnancy.
How The 28-Year-Old Announced Her Pregnancy
The announcement came through a four-photo Instagram carousel showing the couple smiling together, kissing behind an ultrasound scan, and embracing her growing bump. Joy-Anna’s happiness was especially clear as Forsyth placed his hands around her pregnant belly.
The caption announced that their baby is “Coming 2027!!” She described the pregnancy with “so much joy, so much excitement, and so much love.” Joy-Anna also wrote that God knew they needed their little one. The couple already shares three children: Gideon Martin, Evelyn Mae, and Gunner James.
Their marriage has lasted for years, and Joy-Anna and Forsyth have built their family together since their wedding. The pregnancy comes after Joy-Anna previously experienced the loss of Annabell Elise. The Blast also revisited her comments about feeling something might be wrong before that loss, as well as the difficulty of delivering her baby at 20 weeks.
More From The Blast
Joy-Anna Duggar Carries The Pain Of Child Loss
Six years later, Joy-Anna shared an important part of her story as she prepares for another baby. She told her sisters, Jinger and Jess’s Duggar, that she had “a gut feeling” something might not be right before her 20-week ultrasound. However, she worried about exaggerating her concerns and ultimately left the appointment feeling numb.
The hardest part came after learning that Annabell no longer had a heartbeat. The “19 and Counting” alum still had to go through the entire delivery process despite being only 20 weeks pregnant. Her mother Michelle Duggar stayed with her during the devastating experience.
Joy-Anna later explained she spent around six months feeling like she was in a cloud or fog while her body processed the shock. The Blast reported that Joy-Anna also marked what would have been Annabell’s sixth birthday.
She shared black-and-white photographs of her daughter’s feet alongside a tribute marking July 1, 2019. “Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means ‘God satisfies.’
The Expecting Mother Found Healing Through Faith
Joy-Anna has emphasized that healing looked different for her emotionally and physically. She said people often called her strong while she was internally struggling and “freaking out.” She also explained that there was no fixed timeline for recovering from such a loss.
Visualizing God holding Annabell became particularly meaningful for Joy-Anna. She connected that image to the words “In the arms of Jesus,” which were placed on Annabell’s tombstone. That perspective eventually helped her find comfort as she continued to carry the loss.
After Gunner’s birth in 2023, Joy-Anna revealed that she experienced intense postpartum depression, which began around two and a half months after giving birth.
She said everything eventually “crumbled” and admitted she reached a point where she questioned whether she wanted to be here. Joy-Anna eventually sought help, exercised, and focused on healthier habits. She described the resulting improvement as “a huge drastic change” after months of fighting to feel better.
Joy-Anna Duggar And Austin Forsyth Are Proof That Age Is Nothing But Numbers
The couple’s relationship has also attracted attention because of their age difference. They first met when Joy-Anna was four, and Forsyth was eight, after his family moved from Texas.
Their families initially crossed paths through church before the pair eventually stopped seeing each other regularly. Their connection changed after Forsyth got his driver’s license and began playing football and broomball with the boys.
By 14, Joy-Anna said she was already “crushing hard” on him. She later insisted that she would have married Forsyth “from day one.” Joy-Anna recalled entering their relationship with a simple vision of a farmhouse and a happy life together. She admitted she didn’t think beyond believing Forsyth was the one and that everything would work out.
Joy-Anna previously spoke about struggling after her brother Joseph Duggar’s arrest. She said her faith helped her take things one day at a time. Joseph and his wife Kendra were later given a 12-month advisement period requiring good behavior, no new offenses, payment of a $1,850 fine, and compliance with court orders.
