“We’ve got, like, a million kids. There’s a million uncles and aunts and cousins,” she added.

Kate also admitted that the price tag attached to her future nuptials is also a factor in why she and Fujikawa have been taking their time when it comes to setting an official date.

“That’s part of why I don’t want to get married,” she confessed. “It’s too expensive.”

Kate and Fujikawa, 40, started dating in 2016 and welcomed daughter Rani Rose, 7, in October 2018. (The Running Point actress is also mother to sons Ryder, 22, and Bingham, 14, whom she shares with ex husband Chris Robinson and ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, respectively.)

After five years of dating, Fujikawa popped the question in September 2021.

“You know what I’m doing? I’m pre-planning the planning. Just kind of thinking of what we want to do and then I’m going back and forth between like, ‘What is this really going to look like?’” she told Entertainment Tonight, comparing the process to her 2009 rom-com Bride Wars. “Obviously, we’re so excited. It’ll be such an adventure that people will really want to have to come to show up. To me, those are always the most fun weddings. Like, if you really want to be there, you’ll be there. … If someone’s like, ‘I can’t really be there,’ then I don’t want you there. That’s all I got right now. That’s all I got for the wedding.”

“I made four transitions in and out of being homeschooled throughout my own childhood,” Martinez, 31, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, September 9. “My mom and dad always took schooling decisions year by year, child by child. I had 8 years of homeschooling in total, 3 years of private school, 2 of public.”

She continued, “One might think this would feel unpredictable or chaotic. “Back to school— we’ve got a kindergartener and first grader in the house 🍎,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Last year was a bit of trial and error with my first year teaching Ruth; I was inconsistent and a bit bogged down by trying too many different curriculums.”

Martinez went on to share that she utilizes the match with confidence curriculum, which requires “very little prep” on her end. For reading, she borrows “BOB books for Franklin and various Level 1 reading books for Ruth from the library” and uses the Reading.com app.

“I like the Charlotte Mason approach to history, which is basically just using regular picture books and historical fiction stories to teach about events throughout time,” she wrote. “It was important to me to find a curriculum that included perspectives outside of the traditional colonialist narrative and without a heavily religious slant, and I was struggling!”

As for science, Martinez explained that the family is using books from the library and children’s nature magazines, while they use the Handwriting Without Tears workbooks. While sharing the details, Martinez also uploaded several photos of her eldest kids smiling beside a stack of books.

An influencer known for his efforts to catch alleged child predators is facing charges after being stabbed during an altercation with a person he accused of trying to meet with a minor, according to reports.

Nicholas Attalla, who goes by “Niky Sal” on social media, was reportedly stabbed while confronting two men at a Tim Hortons in Jamestown, New York, in December 2025, according to police, WIVB-TV reported. Attalla, of Pennsylvania, tries to catch potential child predators by posing as minors online.

He’s described as a “child predator hunter” on his Facebook page, which has nearly 50,000 followers.

While at the Tim Hortons in December, Attalla accused one of the men, James Morris, of trying to meet with a 14-year-old girl and allegedly threatened him, according to Jamestown police, per WIVB-TV.

As a result, a fight broke out between Attalla, Morris and the other man, leading to Morris allegedly stabbing Attalla, police said, according to WGRZ. Attalla was hospitalized in connection with the incident.

The physical altercation endangered a 1-year-old child who had been at the Tim Hortons with their family, according to police, per the TV station.

Now, Attalla is charged with second-degree criminal nuisance, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree assault, according to authorities, WIVB-TV reported.

Morris was previously charged in January with first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence, according to the outlet. Like Attalla, Morris and the other man involved in the alleged altercation, Eric Spencer, have since been charged with second-degree criminal nuisance and endangering the welfare of a child.

During the investigation, authorities didn’t find any evidence indicating Attalla, Morris or Spencer had communicated with each other on their phones before the Tim Hortons encounter, according to Erie News Now.

Attalla turned himself in to Jamestown police on Friday, September 4, according to the outlet. He required surgery as a result of the stabbing, according to a GoFundMe created in December to support him with his medical bills.

The page said “Niky was stabbed during a catch” and that he had “no feeling in his arm” in December.

On Attalla’s “Niky Sal” Facebook page, he shares videos of alleged child predator “catches.”
